Dog Walking FAQ

Cat Sitting FAQ

Q - I want to set up walks for my dog. Now what?

A - Once you book walks I will set up an appointment to meet you and your dog(s) and pick up a key. At this meeting, you will be asked to fill out paperwork to assure that your walker knows everything about your dog and their walking style.

Q - I would like my dog walked at a specific time each day. Is this possible?

A - Dogs are scheduled in two-hour blocks to allow your walker the flexibility to create an efficient travel route between clients homes. As an example, if your walk is scheduled in an 11am-1pm route, your dog(s) would be walked anytime within that two-hour window.  Puppies and senior dogs with time-sensitive needs may be placed in a one hour window if necessary.

Q - My dog loves to run at the park and is always good about coming back to me. Will you walk my dog off-leash?

A - For your dog's safety they will always be walked on leash.

Q - Is there a minimum amount of walks that need to be scheduled each week?  My schedule changes, do I need to have a fixed walk schedule?

A - There are no walk minimums or fixed schedules required.

Q - How far in advance do I have to book my vacation?

A - Usually a week or two is sufficient. During heavy travel times (holidays and summer) you want to book as far in advance as possible. It's never too early to book!

Q - My cat is pretty self-sufficient. Can you come once or twice a week to re-fill the food bowl?

A - Have Leash, Will Travel requires a minimum of one visit every 24 hours. Leaving a pet alone for any longer not only puts the animal at risk but makes your sitter worry.
